Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thien, Director of CNC Thien Truong 36 Agricultural Services Company Limited, Thanh Hoa province
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thien, Director of Thien Truong 36 CNC Agricultural Services Company Limited, Thanh Hoa province, said: " During the process, we found that this melon tree can be the main tree for the enterprise, expanding the model to the district level as well as other provinces. Currently, 1000 m2, after deducting expenses for 1 year, gives a profit of 90-100 million VND ... We are the main production unit, the consumption channels are coordinated with other units".
Currently, many localities in Thanh Hoa province have put cantaloupe into production in the direction of high technology. Along with promoting the application of science and technology, local authorities have created all conditions to encourage people to invest in large-scale production, ensuring requirements on quality, food hygiene and safety and implementing value chain linkage. On average, 3 melon crops are produced each year, with a yield of about 70 tons/ha.

Mr. Le Van Thuong, Director of Tho Thanh General Service Cooperative, Thuong Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province
Mr. Le Van Thuong, Director of Tho Thanh General Service Cooperative, Thuong Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province, said: " The cooperative has Ocop and Vietgap certification. The focus of the cooperative is to produce the best quality melons... At this time, the price of melons on the market is 26 - 30 depending on type 1 and type 2. With this price, the cooperative's profit reaches 40-50%".
Mr. Nguyen Huy Tuan, Tan Chau Commune, Thieu Hoa District, Thanh Hoa Province, said: " As of now, melons are the most popular, ensuring output for people as well as my family. Melons still have high output, are scarce in the market... after deducting costs, the profit is still 50-60%".

Up to now, the whole province has developed 18 cantaloupe products that meet OCOP 3-4 star standards. Most of Thanh Hoa's cantaloupe products are available in the market inside and outside the province; some products have been put into the system of supermarkets, clean food stores... However, for cantaloupe to develop sustainably, localities need to have specific plans according to market demand, avoiding the situation of oversupply, affecting the economy of the people.
