Steel tractor trailer hits tanker truck, Highway 5 congested for more than 1 hour

A strong collision between a steel-carrying tractor trailer and a tanker truck caused traffic congestion on Highway 5 from Hai Phong to Hanoi for more than an hour.

The trailer cabin was crushed, many steel coils spilled onto the road.

At about 5:10 a.m. on September 12, on National Highway 5 near Tan Truong Industrial Park (Cam Giang Commune), in the direction of Hai Phong - Hanoi, a serious traffic accident occurred between two heavy trucks.

The steel tractor trailer 34C-071.97 driven by Mr. HVM (49 years old, resident of Phu Thai commune, Hai Phong ) crashed into the back of a tanker truck traveling in the same direction ahead.

Two vehicles were badly damaged.

The strong collision crushed the trailer’s cabin, spilling steel coils onto the road. Mr. M. suffered a broken leg and was taken to the emergency room by locals. Both vehicles were severely damaged.

The accident caused traffic congestion on Highway 5 from Hai Phong to Hanoi for more than 1 hour.

Traffic on Highway 5 from Hai Phong to Hanoi through the accident area was congested for more than an hour. Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
