On the evening of August 14, hundreds of audiences attended the exchange and art performance program introducing the musical portrait of musician Phan Huynh Dieu with the theme Phan Huynh Dieu - Love remains , at the City Theater (HCMC).

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City - said that the compositions of musician Phan Huynh Dieu have diverse and valuable content, and are respected by the public. He is a talented musician, devoted to music.
Musician Phan Huynh Dieu is one of the musicians whose compositions are closely associated with the length of the country's history.
The art exchange program Phan Huynh Dieu - Love Remains includes three parts: Love for the homeland, Loyal love, Love remains forever, introducing works associated with his name.
In part one, singers Nguyen Phi Hung, Van Khanh, Tuyet Mai, Quoc Dai, Duong Quoc Hung, Khanh Ngoc, Thuy Trinh, Cao Cong Nghia... took the audience on a musical journey from North to South through famous compositions by musician Phan Huynh Dieu: Betel and Areca, You at the Head of the River, I at the End of the River, Shadow of the Konia Tree, and Love of Quang Nam .

In part two, the audience clearly feels Phan Huynh Dieu's musical emotions through the marches he transformed from love songs.
That is the song "Strand of Memory, Thread of Love" by female poet Thuy Bac, composed by musician Phan Huynh Dieu, quickly became loved by many people, because the lyrics make people's hearts moved, fluttered, but also no less romantic.
Along with that were songs with heroic melodies such as National Defense Army, Day and Night March, Where Are You Tonight... which received enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
Although he writes about the themes of war, loss, and separation, his music always expresses optimism through gentle, profound melodies.

During the program, the audience had the chance to interact with musician Nguyen Duc Trinh - President of the Vietnam Musicians Association. He said he was honored to meet musician Phan Huynh Dieu.
"Musician Phan Huynh Dieu is a multi-talented, romantic person. Music lives forever in our hearts" - musician Nguyen Duc Trinh added.
Musician Phan Hong Ha - son of musician Phan Huynh Dieu - thanked the audience present at the music night.
"My brothers and I are lucky and happy to be our father's children. I will always remember 60 years of living in my father's love. Whenever I mention my father, I cannot hold back my tears.
I remember from 1964 to 1970, when my father was on a business trip to the battlefield, every time we missed him, we opened the closet, took out his clothes, sniffed, and then cried. That smell was unforgettable," Mr. Phan Hong Ha shared.
Singer Thuc An was the first singer to sing the song “Where are you tonight” when it was first released. Joining in this song was singer Hoang Bach – singer Thuc An’s son, which moved many audiences.
"The songs of musician Phan Huynh Dieu have followed me for more than half a century, going through all the battlefields.
During a singing exchange, the musician came up to give me a flower and thank me for singing the song, and I got to know the musician. He is a cheerful, witty and very sincere person" - singer Thuc An confided.

Phan Huynh Dieu - Love Stays Music Night is co-organized by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City Music Association, and Ho Chi Minh City Television.
City Light Music Center, Ho Chi Minh City Television Music Band jointly performed.
The program's artistic director is People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, director Duong Thao.
Attending the music night were Mr. Pham Chanh Truc - former Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Tho Truyen - Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; musician Nguyen Duc Trinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association; musician Nguyen Quang Vinh - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association... and Mr. Phan Hong Ha - son of musician Phan Huynh Dieu, and his family.
