1,900 Tet gifts given to poor and near-poor households, workers and disadvantaged laborers in Ha Nam and Ninh Binh

The delegation visited, wished a happy new year, and gave gifts to poor households, workers, and laborers at Chau Son Industrial Park (Phu Ly city, Ha Nam province) and at Gia Van Industrial Cluster, Gia Vien district, Ninh Binh province.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung and the delegation presented a total of 1,900 gifts to poor households, near-poor households, workers and disadvantaged laborers in the two localities.

Sharing at the program, Hanoi Party Secretary Dinh Tien Dung said that in 2023, in the context of many difficulties and challenges, the whole country has successfully and quite comprehensively implemented its goals and tasks. The macro economy is basically stable, major balances are guaranteed; GDP increased by 5.05%, belonging to the group of countries with high growth rates in the region and the world.

In 2023, Vietnam's GDP will reach 430 billion USD, GDP per capita will reach 101.9 million VND, equivalent to 4,284.5 USD, an increase of 160 USD compared to 2022. State budget revenue will reach 1,717.8 trillion VND, an increase of 6% compared to the estimate assigned by the National Assembly. The average annual consumer price index (CPI) will increase by 3.25% (the target is about 4.5%). Total import and export turnover will reach 683 billion USD, with a trade surplus of about 28 billion USD.

Social security is guaranteed, people's lives are stable and gradually improved. National defense and security are consolidated and strengthened. Foreign affairs have achieved impressive results. The work of Party building and rectification, and the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity has achieved important results. People's trust in the Party and the State is constantly consolidated and strengthened.

"Achieving such great results is due to the wise and correct leadership of the Party; the drastic, flexible and effective management of the Government and the Prime Minister; the effective operation of the National Assembly; the participation of all levels and sectors; the consensus and joint efforts of the business community and the support of the people. In particular, there are worthy contributions from all classes of people, especially workers and laborers in all fields nationwide," emphasized Hanoi Party Secretary Dinh Tien Dung.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Politburo, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung acknowledged, respectfully thanked and warmly commended the efforts, hard work and contributions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and trade unions at all levels, workers and laborers of the two provinces of Ha Nam and Ninh Binh to the cause of socio-economic development, national construction and defense in the past time.

Emphasizing that 2024 is an important year, a year to accelerate the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels, Secretary of the City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung requested Party committees, authorities, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations at all levels and localities to continue promoting the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers, paying attention to ensuring jobs, wages, labor laws, implementing democracy at the grassroots level, taking care of material and spiritual life so that union members and laborers can trust, participate and stick with the Vietnam Trade Union, contributing to helping the Vietnam Trade Union accompany the Government in improving national competitiveness and sustainable development of the country.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung hopes that after a happy and warm Tet holiday with family and relatives, union members, workers and laborers will soon return to their units to continue working from the first days of the new year with the highest productivity and quality, bringing income for themselves and contributing to the development of their businesses, thereby contributing to the development of their homeland and country.

On the same day, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung extended New Year greetings to the Party Committee, government and people of Ha Nam and Ninh Binh provinces. At the same time, he requested localities to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity and the achievements in the past time, finding the best solutions to boost economic development, creating conditions to support business development and improve people's lives.

The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee also proposed that the two provinces further strengthen cooperation with Hanoi city in various fields, making it increasingly in-depth and practical, together contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

According to the report of the leaders of the two provinces to the Central working delegation, in 2023, Ha Nam province's economy will grow by 9.41% compared to 2023; budget revenue will reach more than 14,600 billion VND, average income per capita will reach 98.7 million VND/person/year, an increase of 13.4% compared to 2022. This is the second consecutive year that the province has been self-sufficient in budget spending, exceeding the target set by the congress for 4 years.

Meanwhile, Ninh Binh province's economy increased by 7.27%; per capita income reached 88.03 million VND, an increase of 7.03 million VND compared to 2022. Provincial budget revenue reached more than 16,430 billion VND.

On this occasion, Hanoi Party Secretary Dinh Tien Dung visited, wished a happy new year, and presented gifts to wounded soldiers at Nho Quan War Invalids Nursing Center.
