125 athletes participated in the Dan Phuong Open Badminton Tournament

On the morning of August 16, Dan Phuong commune opened the 2025 Open Badminton Tournament. The tournament attracted 125 athletes from agencies, units, and clubs inside and outside the commune, competing in 10 events.

Opening the tournament, Director of the Culture - Information and Sports Center of Dan Phuong commune Nguyen Manh Ha said that badminton is a traditional sport that has existed for a long time, closely associated with people's lives.

In recent years, the infrastructure for sports in Dan Phuong commune has been invested, indoor and outdoor badminton courts have been built. The movement of practicing and competing in sports in general and badminton in particular has developed strongly.

Badminton courts regularly attract a large number of officials and people from agencies, units, schools, village cultural houses, residential groups, etc., contributing to improving health and selecting talents to become professional athletes to provide for city and national teams.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Nguyen Manh Ha requested the referees to conduct the matches scientifically and objectively, creating the best conditions for the athletes to compete; to conduct the matches fairly, according to the rules and accurately. For the athletes, the Organizing Committee requested them to compete honestly, unitedly, nobly, and to comply with the rules and regulations set forth by the Organizing Committee.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, athletes competed enthusiastically in men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles... Many people came to watch and enthusiastically cheer for the competing teams.

This is a meaningful and practical activity to compete for achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025); to welcome the success of the 1st Congress of the Dan Phuong Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030.
