185 investment projects in 2 economic zones of Ha Tinh

Ha Tinh currently has two established economic zones, including Vung Ang Economic Zone and Cau Treo International Border Gate Economic Zone. In recent times, with the efforts of all levels and sectors in improving the investment and business environment, completing the infrastructure of economic zones, and strengthening promotion and advertising, the economic zones have attracted many businesses and corporations to invest in projects.

Many projects put into operation have become growth drivers for the province such as: Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Complex and Son Duong Port project; Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant; Vines Battery Factory... According to statistics, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the total budget revenue in Vung Ang Economic Zone is estimated at 48,500 billion VND, accounting for over 56% of the total budget revenue of the whole province; export turnover is estimated at more than 25.1 billion USD.

Of these, 21 projects have been completed and put into production and business, 6 projects are being implemented and 2 projects have not been implemented (land has not been assigned or leased). These projects focus on the fields of mineral exploitation, forest product processing, garment, etc.

Thien Thanh Five Star Garment Factory operates in Cau Treo International Border Gate Economic Zone.

Some projects have been put into operation, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province such as: Huong Son Hydropower Plant, Son Kim Mineral Water Factory; Thien Thanh Five Star Garment Factory; Tay Son Tea Enterprise; Kim Thanh Tuynel Brick Factory; Wood Processing Factory of Huong Son Forestry and Service Company.

In the 2021 - 2025 period, enterprises operating in Cau Treo International Border Gate Economic Zone will contribute to the State budget an estimated over VND 2,287 billion, 2.9 times higher than in the 2016 - 2020 period.
