On the morning of May 17, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission organized a gift-giving ceremony in Thai Thuy and Tien Hai districts. Comrade Nguyen Van Giang, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission attended the gift-giving ceremony.

Leaders of the Coast Guard Region 1 Command and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission presented the national flag to fishermen of Tien Hai district.

200 gifts with a total value of 200 million VND were presented to policy families, religious people, and fishermen in difficult circumstances in Thai Thuy and Tien Hai districts. In addition, the Coast Guard Region 1 Command and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission presented national flags to fishermen in Tien Hai district.

This is an activity within the program of coordination in implementing mass mobilization work "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" between the Standing Committee of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Coast Guard Party Committee.

At the gift-giving points, leaders of the Coast Guard Region 1 Command and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission sent words of encouragement to families with meritorious services, religious people, and fishermen in difficult circumstances; at the same time, they hoped that fishermen would overcome difficulties, stick to the sea and go offshore; strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, fish safely and in accordance with regulations; join hands with the Coast Guard and law enforcement forces at sea to protect the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
