406 works entered the National Press Award on Youth Union work in 2025

On the evening of June 19, in Hanoi, the Central Youth Union held the National Press Awards Ceremony on Youth Union work and youth movements in 2025.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of Young Pioneers Nguyen Pham Duy Trang said: With the desire to organize a festival for journalists, honor journalists, good journalistic works written about young people that have the power to spread and move society, since 2017, the Central Youth Union Secretariat has organized the Press Award for writing about Youth Union work and youth movements. After 9 times of organization, the award has increasingly received the attention and participation of news agencies, newspapers, reporters inside and outside the Youth Union.

Congratulating journalists on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Pham Duy Trang believes that news agencies will continue to promote their glorious tradition; constantly innovate content and creative working methods, so that the voice of revolutionary journalism will spread more and more strongly, not only ensuring political and ideological orientation, but also touching hearts, carrying the breath of life.

The Organizing Committee said that this year, 406 works from 63 central and local press agencies and 12 provincial, municipal and affiliated youth unions across the country were submitted to the National Press Award on Youth Union work and youth movements. The entries were innovative and creative in their presentation methods. Many topics and articles on Youth Union work and youth movements, exemplary young people, good models and creative ways of doing things were exploited and effectively and vividly propagated, with a wide spread in the community.

The Jury and Organizing Committee decided to award 1 A prize, 1 B prize, 2 C prizes, and 3 Encouragement prizes for each category of print newspaper, electronic newspaper, radio, and television.

In particular, the A prize was awarded to the 3-part series "Building tomorrow with children" (printed newspaper) by the group of authors of Nhan Dan Newspaper; the 5-part series "Young people keep the fire of Vietnamese culture, spread national pride" (electronic newspaper) by the group of authors of Cong Thuong Newspaper; the work "Dong Thap Youth - Bringing technology to the fields" (television genre) by Dong Thap Radio and Television Station; the 3-part series "Journey to empower disadvantaged children in Ho Chi Minh City" (radio genre) by Ho Chi Minh City People's Voice Station.

In addition to the above traditional categories, this year's Award has been expanded to include 1 "Best Press Photo" and 2 "Best Multimedia Press" works. The Organizing Committee has also reserved a separate award system for press works about children, the work of the Young Pioneers and the children's movement with 1 A prize, 1 B prize, 1 C prize.

On this occasion, the Central Youth Union awarded two collective prizes.
