500 businesses and universities give scholarships to 100% of new students

Hong Bang International University implemented a 100% tuition scholarship policy for semester I for all new students of the 2024-2025 school year at a ceremony yesterday (January 6).

According to Master Tran Thuy Tram Quyen, Vice Principal of the school, candidates who pass one of the school's 28 majors will receive a scholarship of 100% of the first semester's tuition fee worth 12.5 million VND. Thus, new students only have to pay tuition for the remaining two semesters of 42.5 million VND/year instead of 55 million VND/year.

This scholarship is sponsored by the HIU Foundation, developed from 2022 between Hong Bang International University and the school's Business Advisory Council, with the support of 500 businesses.

The total value of scholarships awarded to new students for the 2024-2025 school year is estimated at about 50 billion VND.

“In the context of general economic difficulties after Covid-19, sharing concerns about tuition fees is an important factor that can directly help students reduce the financial burden when entering university. Therefore, for 3 years, the school has not increased tuition fees, and at the same time established many preferential policies and scholarship programs to reduce tuition fees significantly,” shared Master Tram Quyen.

It is known that in 2024, Hong Bang International University plans to enroll students by 5 methods including: considering academic records, considering the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam, using the scores of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam, direct admission and admission by SAT certificate.

In the high school transcript review method, candidates use the total average score of 3 semesters including semester 1 (grade 11) + semester 2 (grade 11) + semester 1 (grade 12) from 18 points or higher, or the total average score of 3 combined subjects of grade 12 from 18 points or higher, or consider the transcript based on the average score of the whole grade 12 from 6.0 or higher.

In the method of considering the ability assessment test scores, the school accepts scores of 600 and above and SAT scores of 800 and above. The school will use the interview form and conditions according to the requirements of each industry for the direct admission method.

In 2024, Hong Bang International University will also open two new majors in the health sector: nutrition and public health .
