According to experts, AI is changing every industry at an unprecedented pace. But along with its potential for innovation, AI is also being exploited by cybercriminals as a dangerous weapon. From deepfakes, voice spoofing, synthetic identity fraud to automated phishing campaigns and AI-driven malware, the global cybersecurity landscape is entering a challenging phase.

During a special discussion session at the conference, experts pointed out that AI is changing the balance in the world of cybercrime, illustrating with real-life incidents that have occurred, and explaining why traditional defense measures are no longer enough.

AI can be an ally, but also an adversary. Protecting the digital world requires not just smarter technology, but smarter collaboration.

According to the organizers, CyberCon Asia 2025 attracted more than 500 businesses, 100 senior leaders, 50 exhibitors and 1,500 attendees from more than 25 countries.

CyberCon Asia 2025 is a symbol of Vietnam-Japan cooperation in responding to digital security challenges, while contributing to policy, human resource training and technological innovation in the region.

The VNCERT Center said that initial investigation results showed that the information that hackers illegally collected at CIC did not include deposit accounts, credit card numbers, security codes, etc. of customers.
