On September 26, the province experienced moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms; rainfall measured from 0:00 to 9:00 on September 26 was generally 20 - 40mm, higher in some places such as: Thuy Phuc commune (Thai Thuy) 48mm, Quynh Coi town (Quynh Phu) 42mm.

The agricultural sector recommends that early-season rice areas need to be harvested quickly and neatly.

According to the Thai Binh Hydrometeorological Center, due to the influence of the northern edge of the tropical convergence zone combined with the strengthening of the southwestern edge of the continental high pressure, from now until the end of September 28, it is forecasted that Thai Binh will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms. Rainfall in some places is commonly from 100 - 200mm.

Due to rain and strong winds, about 580 hectares of winter-spring rice were broken and fell, scattered in the districts. The broken and fallen rice areas were in the stage of full maturity and milky ripeness. To ensure the value of winter-spring rice production and the progress and goals of winter-spring crop production, the agricultural sector requested localities to proactively drain the surface water of the fields. For green rice areas that were slightly fallen, the plants usually have the ability to recover. For areas of firm rice that were fallen, it is necessary to erect the plants and tie them in the direction of the rice plant's tilt. Absolutely do not erect them backwards, as this will break the rice roots. For areas of early-spring rice that have ripened, propagate and mobilize farmers to mobilize human resources and machinery to harvest quickly and neatly according to the motto "green at home is better than ripe in the fields", fully preparing the conditions for winter-spring crop production.
