As of September 20, the banking system in Hai Duong has exempted or reduced interest rates for 753 customers, with outstanding debt exempted or reduced interest rates of more than VND 1,031 billion (illustrative photo).

As of September 20, the banking system in the province recorded more than 4,100 customers suffering losses from storm No. 3, with outstanding loans of nearly VND 3,750 billion. Banks have restructured debts (adjusted repayment terms) for 102 customers, with restructured loans of nearly VND 42 billion; exempted or reduced loan interest rates for 753 customers, with outstanding loans exempted or reduced interest rates of more than VND 1,031 billion. Banks have also provided new loans to 48 customers, with outstanding loans of VND 72 billion.

Specifically: Agribank Hai Duong has 545 customers with damaged debt of more than 207 billion VND. This bank has waived or reduced loan interest for 61 customers with a loan balance of nearly 156 billion VND. VietinBank Hai Duong has 75 customers with damaged debt of 124 billion VND; has waived or reduced loan interest for 47 customers with a loan balance of nearly 100 billion VND. BIDV Thanh Dong has 30 customers with damaged debt of nearly 103 billion VND, has waived or reduced loan interest for 4 customers with a loan balance of more than 16 billion VND, and lent 16 customers a new loan package with a loan balance of nearly 68 billion VND.

Regarding the non-state-owned joint stock commercial banks, Sacombank Hai Duong has 30 customers who suffered losses, with a damaged debt balance of nearly VND242 billion; it has waived or reduced loan interest for all 30 of these customers, and lent one customer a new loan package with a loan balance of VND1 billion.ACB Hai Duong has 38 customers who suffered losses, with a damaged debt balance of nearly VND278 billion; it has restructured the repayment period for one customer with a loan balance of nearly VND15 billion, waived or reduced loan interest for 35 customers with a loan balance of more than VND257 billion, and lent two customers a new loan package with a loan balance of VND3 billion.

The provincial branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies has 1,588 customers suffering losses, with outstanding debt losses of nearly VND90 billion; debt restructuring has been done for 62 customers with outstanding debt of more than VND3 billion.
