The national exhibition "95 years of the Party Flag lighting the way" has a total area of over 10,000 m², designed in a spiral corridor model with 6 display areas, the exhibition has been bringing a very special historical experience.
Among them, Zone 3 with the theme "The Party leads the resistance to victory: Nine years of glorious victory ending old-style colonialism (1945-1954)" is truly an overwhelming highlight, where the tragic but glorious history of the Vietnamese people is vividly recreated.
Zone 3 takes visitors back to the period 1945-1954, a period led by the skillful leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam to defeat the French colonialists and the American intervention. This is not only a historical journey of Vietnam but also becomes a symbol for oppressed peoples around the world. The "critical" situation (1945): After independence, Vietnam faced three major "enemies": hunger, illiteracy and foreign invasion. Chiang Kai-shek's army invaded the north, while the French colonialists, assisted by the British army, returned to invade the south, starting the war on the night of September 22 and the early morning of September 23, 1945 in Saigon. Faced with this situation, President Ho Chi Minh set out six urgent tasks: fighting hunger, fighting illiteracy, holding general elections, eliminating bad customs, abolishing unreasonable taxes and declaring freedom of religion. Both resisting and building the nation: The Indochinese Communist Party, although declaring "dissolution" to avoid the enemy's spearhead, still operated secretly, issued the Directive "On Resistance and Building the Nation" on November 25, 1945, identifying the task of consolidating the government and fighting the French with the slogan "Nation above all. Fatherland above all". The General Election to elect the National Assembly of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on January 6, 1946 demonstrated the strength of great solidarity, and President Ho Chi Minh was elected as President. Resistance government .
The propaganda painting "Ten Resistance Commandments" is displayed at the exhibition Zone 3. Children visiting the exhibition in Section 3 of the exhibition attentively study the propaganda painting. Through the performance reenacting history, the audience relived the period: "Peace to advance" policy: Our Party cleverly advocated reconciliation with France to eliminate the more dangerous enemy, the Chiang army, and prepare forces. The Preliminary Agreement of March 6, 1946 and the Vietnam-France Provisional Agreement of September 14, 1946, although not achieving complete results at the Fontainebleau Conference, demonstrated goodwill for peace and extended the precious time of reconciliation. The immortal call for national resistance: When France increasingly revealed its ambitions, the Party Central Committee issued the Directive "National Resistance". On December 19, 1946, President Ho Chi Minh issued the call: "We would rather sacrifice everything than lose our country, than become slaves". This call ignited the fighting spirit of the entire people, with Hanoi's suicide soldiers holding trident bombs to block enemy tanks.
Visitors are engrossed in learning about history at Division 3, which recreates the landmark military campaigns under the wise leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh. The shining peak: Dien Bien Phu Victory, Division 3 depicts in detail the Dien Bien Phu Victory "famous in five continents, shaking the earth". The Propaganda Directive on the Dien Bien Phu Victory and the Geneva Conference of the Southern Administrative Resistance Committee is displayed at Division 3. Zone 3, along with the entire exhibition, is expected to use modern technology such as AR, 3D, and hologram to vividly recreate each historical period. This helps viewers, especially the younger generation, to "touch" history and better understand the sacrifices and contributions of their ancestors. Audiences can also explore the online space through the 3D 360° digital exhibition version, with precious artifacts such as Uncle Ho's Will, the crashed B-52 plane, and the first revolutionary newspapers scanned in 3D to realistically recreate on a digital platform. As commented by visitors, technology does not destroy the sacredness of history but also helps the younger generation understand better and be more proud. With rich display content and modern presentation, Zone 3 is not only an exhibition area but also a profound history lesson, inspiring patriotism and national pride for all generations. Visitors can choose from specialized time slots for those deeply interested in history, or public time slots with easy-to-understand content, suitable for young people and the public, along with talk shows and discussions led by experts.
