In implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction (NRC), the role of the Youth Union is increasingly affirmed through launching and organizing movements, projects and tasks to attract a large number of Youth Union members to participate, creating a spread, joining hands with local Party committees, authorities and people to successfully implement the NTM construction goal.

Many meaningful tasks

In the period of 2021 - 2025, the Provincial Youth Union has identified a number of key tasks and models as highlights in the new rural construction program to focus on directing implementation and replication such as: Participating in the construction of rural infrastructure; building cultural life in rural areas, eliminating backward customs; organizing cultural, artistic and sports activities; building and repairing cultural houses, playgrounds for children, repairing and beautifying historical and cultural works and relics; participating in economic development, transferring technical and technological advances in agricultural - forestry - fishery production activities; borrowing capital to develop production and business, training, coaching, supporting youth to participate in the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program...

Along with that, the Youth Union at all levels has mobilized and encouraged young people to develop the economy through effective deployment of capital sources, coordinated organization of training on startup knowledge, product consumption connection, job introduction... The Youth Union at all levels has focused on maintaining and developing on-site vocational training models; cooperative and cooperative models to develop both quantity and quality. The models of Youth Startup Clubs, Youth Economic Clubs, cooperative models, cooperative groups "Youth doing economy", "Youth helping each other develop the economy"... have been effective.

Affirming today's youth

Recognizing the key role of digital transformation in agricultural and rural development and new rural construction, the youth of the whole province have proactively implemented many practical activities. Notably, consulting and implementing the digitalization of historical relics in the province; establishing volunteer teams to support people in handling administrative procedures online; supporting the installation of free wifi points at public places and cultural houses to serve people's needs for information access, learning and entertainment; proactively connecting and organizing electronic markets on social networking platforms to promote and consume local products...

In Nat Son commune, recently, the local Youth Union has supported people to consume Son Thuy longan products through a new and unique consumption channel called "Electronic Market". Comrade Bui Thi Thanh Thuy - Secretary of the Commune Youth Union said: "The "Electronic Market" model has received the participation of a large number of Youth Union members as well as the response of farmers and customers on the internet. In the coming time, the Commune Youth Union will continue to replicate this model to accompany farmers in promoting local agricultural products, contributing to increasing the economic value of OCOP products as well as implementing the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the term 2025 - 2030 on developing green technology and applying digital technology ".

Joining hands to protect the environment and respond to climate change is also identified as a key task of the Youth Union in building the new rural areas. The Provincial Youth Union has directed Youth Union chapters at all levels to promote the implementation of the movement "Youth join hands to protect the environment, respond to climate change"; "Green Sunday", launching environmental sanitation, planting trees... with the enthusiastic participation of Youth Union members. Many programs, campaigns, and models have been replicated such as: Flowering electric poles, mural roads, youth flower roads; organizing youth volunteer teams to participate in environmental protection and maintaining urban order... Youth Union chapters at all levels have also focused on building, developing, and promoting youth volunteer teams to participate in preventing and fighting natural disasters, epidemics, overcoming the consequences of storms and floods... Thereby, affirming the outstanding mark of the "green shirt" in local socio-economic development.

From 2021 to now, the Youth Union at all levels in the province has carried out over 6,300 youth projects and tasks; of which, many projects and tasks in building new rural areas have been effectively implemented, making an important contribution to accelerating the progress of building new rural areas in localities. Notable examples include: Building over 300km of "Lighting up the Countryside Roads"; 45km of "Model New Rural Roads"; repairing, upgrading, and building more than 270km of rural roads; coordinating the construction of 11 rural traffic bridges; building 486 playgrounds for children and teenagers...
