Atletico Madrid players were unable to shower after their familiarisation session at Emirates Stadium, due to a broken hot water system.
The incident made Atletico extremely upset, especially when a 5-star stadium lacks such basic services.

According to Atletico members, coach Diego Simeone's team had an unpleasant first experience at the Emirates Stadium.
During the practice session before the match with Arsenal in the third round of the Champions League group stage (2am on October 22), Simeone's team encountered an unexpected incident.
Upon arriving at the stadium, the players discovered there was no hot water. By the end of the training session, the situation had not been resolved despite Arsenal staff reporting a technical problem.
As a result, the team was unable to shower on the spot. Anger within the Atletico team grew, especially when part of the training session took place in the rain.
The players were forced to sprint to the bus, soaking wet, and then travel straight to the hotel – a 45-minute journey – in disbelief that such a thing could happen at a top-class stadium like the Emirates.
Arsenal spent 390 million pounds to build the Emirates Stadium, not to mention the renovation costs to maintain the quality of one of the most modern stadiums in European football.
Atletico have lodged a formal complaint with UEFA. The matter will also be discussed today.
The Spanish team said it was difficult to understand why a stadium of the size of Emirates could not ensure the most basic conditions for players to shower after training.
In other words, some Atletico members believe that the Emirates Stadium management made Simeone's players mentally depressed, in order to help Arsenal take the initiative when entering the match.
