Recently, a clip went viral on social media recording a female student arguing with her teacher after being reminded about eating noodles in class.
In the clip, the lecturer said he would not continue teaching until the female student left the class. He also said he was willing to make up the lesson for students who wanted to take it in another session. “I will not continue teaching if discipline in the class is not maintained,” the teacher said.
The incident was determined to have taken place at Phenikaa University.
The Student Affairs and Entrepreneurship Department of Phenikaa University also informed that it had recorded cases of non-compliance with school culture rules, showing inappropriate attitudes, behaviors and words in the classroom, affecting lecturers and classmates. “These behaviors go against the ethical standards and core values of Phenikaa students,” the Student Affairs and Entrepreneurship Department of the school assessed.
According to the school, the university environment is not only a place to equip knowledge but also a space to train personality, style and behavioral culture of each student.
The school will strictly handle violations according to regulations, in order to maintain a healthy, respectful and civilized learning environment.

Speaking with VietNamNet on the afternoon of October 21, a representative of Phenikaa University said that as soon as they received the information, the Board of Directors of Phenikaa University, the Board of Directors of Phenikaa School of Economics , and the Student Affairs and Entrepreneurship Department directed relevant units to verify, discuss and work directly with students, lecturers and the class about the incident.
Specifically, on the morning of October 21, leaders of the School of Economics, Faculty of Tourism and representatives of the Student Affairs and Entrepreneurship Department of Phenikaa University worked directly with students and exchanged with parents to provide timely information, in order to closely coordinate between families and schools in guiding students.
“Through the process, the student has become aware of her inappropriate behavior during class. She has apologized to the lecturer and her classmates, and pledged to learn from her mistakes and adjust her learning attitude. The school appreciates the student’s cooperative attitude, willingness to learn, and receptive spirit,” he said.
This person also said that Phenikaa University always attaches importance to building a civilized, respectful and humane learning environment, where each lecturer and student understands, shares and supports each other to grow together.
