Three things to remember to survive when traveling by river or sea

Mr. Long said that before participating in any activity such as boarding a plane, boarding a boat or any means of transport... always prepare a mindset of what to do in case the worst happens. When an incident occurs, if we have that mindset, it will help us calm down faster.

There are many forms of escape, but in water there are three things to remember.

All incidents, including natural disasters, have warning signs. Calm yourself and those around you by shouting "calm down, calm down is life". This will help others enter a calm state more easily.

In case of impact such as capsize or the boat capsizes, immediately switch to the prepared anti-impact position called the "fetal position". Both hands hug the eardrum, head bent towards the abdomen.

Bend down towards the knees, face down. This position reduces impact and injury when the boat capsizes. Helps the victim significantly reduce injuries from surrounding impacts. Even if the plane crashes at a high altitude, if in the correct position, the probability of survival is higher.

In case of an accident on a river or water, immediately switch to mouth breathing and inhale through the mouth in any situation involving rivers or seas (with liquids).

If you accidentally drink water by mouth, you will still be alert enough to handle the situation. If you inhale through your nose, you will easily get water into your nose, inhale water into your lungs and cause panic.

Floating technique with a water bottle. Once in the water, with a water bottle as big as possible, or even just 50ml is fine, pour out all the water, lie on your back, and insert the empty water bottle into your back line, above the waistband of your pants.

We can open the cap of the water bottle, put the bottle inside the shirt and twist the cap outside the shirt to keep the bottle in place. This will help us float longer and wait for rescue.
