Three NGOs cooperate to support Da Nang with 62.5 billion VND to implement social security

DNO - On the morning of October 22, the Danang City Union of Friendship Organizations signed a memorandum of understanding with three foreign non-governmental organizations to carry out social security work with a total value of nearly 2.5 million USD (equivalent to 62.5 billion VND).

The Danang City Union of Friendship Organizations signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with three foreign non -governmental organizations (phase 1), including: Giving It Back To Kids (USA), Children of Vietnam (USA) and Lifestart Foundation (Australia).

During the 2025 - 2030 period, these three organizations committed to continue supporting programs, projects, and non-projects for Da Nang city through the Da Nang City Union of Friendship Organizations (the agency that owns the aid and coordinates the project) with a total value of nearly 2.5 million USD (equivalent to 62.5 billion VND).

Specifically, Giving It Back To Kids supports 1.06 million USD (equivalent to 27.5 billion VND) to promote sustainable development, human development; spread human values ​​through education , enhance life skills and community support programs.

Children of Vietnam collaborates on programs supporting education, infrastructure, nutrition and emergency relief. The total estimated funding is US$1 million (equivalent to VND26 billion), which will directly benefit thousands of children and disadvantaged households in the city.

Lifestart Foundation supports 343,500 USD (equivalent to 9 billion VND) through educational and medical scholarship programs, along with humanitarian support projects such as clean water filtration systems, bicycles, necessities and blankets for poor and disadvantaged students.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Tran Thi Man highly appreciated the role of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang city, which is a solid bridge, effectively connecting foreign diplomatic agencies, consulates, international organizations, individuals, friends around the world with the city's government and people, supporting the city in the cause of economic and social construction and development.

The Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city affirmed that Da Nang will create all favorable conditions for organizations to continue to effectively implement programs, projects and non-projects in the coming time, thereby actively contributing to the city's social security work.

According to the Danang City Union of Friendship Organizations, from 2021 to now, the Union has mobilized 30 foreign non-governmental organizations to support the implementation of more than 110 programs, projects, and non-projects in the fields of health, education, sustainable poverty reduction, disaster risk reduction, environmental protection, and social security support with an amount of nearly 80 billion VND.
