Bac Ninh organizes a series of cultural and sports activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2

BAC NINH - The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province has just issued Plan No. 12/KH-SVHTTDL to organize a series of large-scale propaganda, cultural, tourism and sports activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

According to the Plan, a series of activities of Bac Ninh province aims to celebrate the country's important historical event, while promoting the development of local culture, tourism and sports . The activities are held at many different locations, focusing on 2 main locations and related areas:

Main activities:

In Bac Giang ward:

- Evening of August 30, 2025 at Nghia Long Lake, Bac Giang Ward:

Folk art performance on boat (by Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater, Bac Ninh Cheo Theater, Center for Culture and Tourism Promotion).

Dong Ngu Water Puppet Show and cultural and tourist activities.

The program was broadcast live on the airwaves and digital platforms of Bac Ninh Provincial Newspaper, Radio and Television.

- August 30, 2025 at Ngo Gia Tu Park, Bac Giang Ward: Display booths introducing craft village products, OCOP products, and cuisine.

- On the afternoon of August 30, 2025, at 3/2 Square, Bac Giang Ward: Organize Dong Ngu Water Puppet performance.

- In Kinh Bac ward:

- On the evening of September 1, 2025 at Nguyen Phi Y Lan Lake: Folk art performance on boats (Quan Ho folk songs and Cheo art), jointly performed by Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater and Bac Ninh Cheo Theater.

- On the afternoon of September 1, 2025, at the Bac Ninh Museum No. 2: Dong Ngu Water Puppetry performance. Folk cultural activities on the walking street of Ly Thai To street.

Exhibition and display activities:

- Exhibition of socio-economic achievements "Bac Ninh - a thousand years of civilization - Aspiration to rise in the new era" at the National Exhibition Center (Co Loa, Dong Anh, Hanoi) from August 28, 2025 - September 5, 2025 (Opening at 9:00 a.m. on August 28, closing at 8:00 p.m. on September 5).

- Exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection at Bac Ninh Museum No. 1 (No. 6 Nguyen Van Cu Street, Bac Giang Ward) from August 11 to September 20, 2025.

- Photo exhibition "Achievements of Bac Ninh Cultural Sector in the period 1997 - 2025" and thematic exhibition "Bac Ninh in the August Revolution of 1945" at Bac Ninh Museum No. 2 (No. 2 Ly Thai To Street, Kinh Bac Ward) from August 10 to mid-September 2025.

- Displaying books and newspapers to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day at Bac Ninh Library No. 1 (Ngo Gia Tu Street, Bac Giang Ward) and Bac Ninh Library No. 2 (Ly Thai To Street, Kinh Bac Ward) from August 18 to September 5, 2025.

Cultural and tourist activities:

- Experience the craft of making Dong Ho folk paintings at the Dong Ho Folk Painting Conservation Center, Thuan Thanh Ward, from August 30 to September 3, 2025.

- Film week celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 at the Provincial Cultural - Exhibition Center, from August 23 to September 5, 2025.

- Performing intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO at the Provincial Cultural - Exhibition Center, from August 28 - August 29, 2025.

- Touring the Art Program (at the National Mobile Propaganda Competition) at 5 locations in the province: Provincial Cultural - Exhibition Center, Viet Yen Convention Center, Tan Yen Convention Center, Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater, Cultural Center Hall, Tu Son Ward, on the evenings of August 6 and 7, 2025.

Some sports activities:

- Bac Ninh Province Age Group Badminton Tournament at the Provincial Sports Stadium (Southern Urban Area, Bac Giang Ward), scheduled from August 23 to August 30, 2025.

- Bac Ninh Provincial Pickleball Championship at Quang Minh Sports Field and some other locations in Bac Giang ward, from September 6 to September 13, 2025.

- National Excellent Club Badminton Tournament at the Provincial Sports Stadium (Southern Urban Area, Bac Giang Ward), expected to be held at the end of September 2025.

- National Senior Volleyball Tournament at the Provincial Sports Gymnasium (Southern Urban Area, Bac Giang Ward), scheduled to be held in early October 2025.

- Bac Ninh FC football team participates in the National First Division and National Cup 2025-2026 season at Viet Yen Stadium, from September 13, 2025 - June 20, 2026.
