Comrade Tran Xuan Cuong, Secretary of the Tien Luc Commune Party Committee, said: "Due to the large amount of water flowing from the upper Thuong River and heavy rain, on the night of October 7, many sections of the dike in the commune overflowed or broke, causing water to flow into residential areas and fields, causing flooding in many places."

The dike, also known as the embankment, is not the main dike, but when it overflows, it still directly affects people's lives and production.
Grasping the actual situation, from the evening of October 7, Tien Luc commune and functional forces organized the evacuation of people and valuable assets to a safe place.

The floodwaters rose high and fast, and by 7 a.m. on October 8, all the villages in the commune were flooded. “Because the water caused flooding and isolation, we proactively evacuated, not waiting for the water to rise to deal with the situation. However, due to the large amount of water, all 61/61 villages in the commune are flooded, the most seriously affected being Tram village with 31 households. The commune is currently coordinating with the military and police to move these households to safety,” informed comrade Tran Xuan Cuong.
At the same time, the commune continues to review households in need of support to ensure absolute safety for the people.
