The red color remained on the metal price chart after the previous session's uptrend, mainly due to profit-taking activities by investors at high prices. For precious metals, silver prices weakened from a nearly 4-month peak, closing at $32.01 an ounce after falling 1.27%. On the other side, platinum prices continued to rise, increasing 0.4% to $991.7 an ounce.

The precious metals market continues to benefit from the US Federal Reserve’s (FED) large-scale interest rate cut. Experts predict that the prices of silver, platinum and gold will continue to maintain an upward trend in the coming time thanks to the support of a low interest rate environment.

Rising geopolitical tensions are also supporting precious metals prices. Markets are concerned about the possibility of widespread violence in the Middle East as Israel steps up its attacks on the Iran-backed Lebanese Hezbollah militia, with the two sides exchanging rocket fire even as Israel continues its war in Gaza.

Although silver prices fell in the last trading session, the overall outlook for the precious metals market is still positive. With the support of loose monetary policy and tense geopolitical situation, experts predict that gold, silver and platinum prices will continue to maintain an upward trend in the coming time.
