By 8:00 p.m. on April 20, firefighters had completely extinguished a large fire that broke out at a container parking lot in lot A3, next to Dien Bien Phu Street (in Nhon Binh Ward, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh).
According to the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Binh Dinh Province Police, at about 6:29 p.m., the unit received information about a large fire that broke out at the truck parking lot of Quy Nhon Road Repair Management Joint Stock Company.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department immediately mobilized nearly 80 officers, soldiers, employees, firefighting vehicles, and support vehicles from many units to help put out the fire.
At the time of the fire, the flames engulfed large trucks with cargo on their beds. At times, the flames were accompanied by large columns of smoke that rose hundreds of meters high.
By 6:50 p.m., the fire was basically under control. Firefighters continued to surround and extinguish the flames to prevent them from flaring up again. By 7:13 p.m., the fire was completely extinguished.
Thanks to the quick extinguishing of the fire, the remaining 20 container trucks were protected and not burned.
The fire did not cause any human casualties, but burned down 4 tractor-trailers owned by Mr. PPK (born in 1982, Binh Dinh province).
It is known that Binh Dinh province has been experiencing widespread heat recently. During the day, the temperature is always high, the weather is dry and the risk of fire is very high.
The A3 land plot that Quy Nhon Road Management and Repair Joint Stock Company uses as a parking lot and service area is about 2 hectares wide. Previously, in 2019, this company leveled the ground and built a parking service area and goods transfer area.
