The meeting aimed to agree on the content and sign a memorandum of understanding on organizing forces to search for and collect the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Ratanakiri province during the 2025-2026 dry season.

Receiving and working with the delegation of Gia Lai Provincial Task Force were Deputy Governor, Head of Ratanakiri Provincial Task Force Ma Vi Chat and members of Ratanakiri Provincial Task Force.
At the meeting, the Gia Lai Provincial Task Force and the Ratanakiri Provincial Task Force discussed and agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding with many important contents.
In particular, the two provinces will promote information exchange, support each other and strive to find the remains of 7 to 10 or more martyrs who died in Ratanakiri province.
To carry out the assigned tasks, the Gia Lai Provincial Task Force will deploy 28 people and many vehicles and machines; expected to carry out the task in the neighboring province from November 10, 2025 to May 31, 2026.

During the implementation process, the Task Force of the two provinces will discuss and resolve any difficulties and problems that arise in order to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Governor and Head of the Ratanakiri Provincial Task Force Ma Vi Chat emphasized: Over the past time, the two provinces have elevated their relationship, strengthened solidarity and friendship to build a peaceful border, cooperated in investment for socio-economic development; and increased information exchange to search for and collect the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in the locality.
Mr. Ma Vi Chat said that he will direct the relevant departments, functional forces and people in Ratanakiri province to support the Gia Lai Provincial Task Force and Team K52 (Gia Lai Provincial Military Command) to search for and collect martyrs' remains in the dry season of 2025-2026 and the following years to soon repatriate the martyrs to their homeland for rest.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich emphasized: It is forecasted that in the dry season of 2025-2026, the implementation of the task of searching for and collecting the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Ratanakiri province will encounter many difficulties.
Therefore, the Gia Lai Provincial Task Force hopes that the Ratanakiri Provincial Task Force will continue to support and help Team K52 find more martyrs' remains in the following years.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed: After merging the two-level local government, the new Gia Lai province is located at the center of the regional linkage axis between the Central Highlands and the South Central Coast, helping the province become an important trade hub, a gateway connecting Quy Nhon international seaport with the Pleiku plateau, Le Thanh international border gate and the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia development triangle area.
This coming December, Gia Lai province is expected to start construction of the Quy Nhon-Pleiku Expressway Project, creating an important premise for the province to break through and connect trade, especially with the Northeastern provinces and the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Specialized Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich respectfully conveyed the wishes of Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan, hoping that in the coming time, they will meet and welcome Governor Nhem Sam Oeun and leaders of Rattanakiri province to visit Gia Lai province to exchange and cooperate comprehensively in many fields, promote socio-economic development and elevate the relationship between the two provinces to a new level.
The immediate priority is to cooperate in development and connect Oyadav border gate and Le Thanh international border gate to increasingly deepen and become more effective.
On this occasion, the Gia Lai Provincial Task Force presented a support amount of 6,500 USD from the Vietnamese Government to the Ratanakiri Provincial Task Force to serve the work of searching and collecting the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war in Cambodia during the 2025-2026 dry season. At the same time, gifts were presented to members of the Task Force of the neighboring province.

Previously, members of the Provincial Task Force came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Martyrs' Memorial Temple, Duc Co Cemetery (Duc Co Commune) and the Martyrs' Memorial Temple at Le Thanh International Border Gate (Ia Dom Commune).

The delegation also visited and presented gifts to Cambodian functional forces on duty at the Oyadav International Border Gate and Border Police Battalion 623 of Ratanakiri province.
