Mr. Cao Van Binh was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Association of Former Teachers of Gia Lai province.

(GLO)- On October 21, the Association of Former Teachers (CGC) of Gia Lai province held its first Congress of delegates for the 2025-2030 term. Mr. Cao Van Binh was elected as Chairman of the Association.

Attending the Congress was Vice Chairman of Lam Hai Giang Provincial People's Committee. This event marked the official merger between Binh Dinh Provincial CGC Association and the former Gia Lai Provincial CGC Association.

Accordingly, before the merger, the total number of members of the two organizations was more than 3,800 people. The Associations at all levels have done a good job of building the organization, promoting the exemplary role of teachers, and actively participating in major local movements.

In particular, the Association is always at the forefront in coordinating with the Education sector and the Association for Promotion of Learning to promote learning and talent promotion, and build a learning society.

The Congress unanimously approved the direction and program of activities for the 2025-2030 term with many important targets. In particular, the Association strives for 100% of communes and wards to have an Association organization during the term; and strengthen the mobilization and development of new members.

At the same time, continue to effectively carry out educational support activities, strengthen the movement to build a Gratitude Fund to care for the lives and encourage sick and disadvantaged members.

Speaking at the Congress, Vice Chairman of Lam Hai Giang Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and commended the important contributions of the CGC team in the career of "growing people", promoting the spirit of "Old age - Bright example".

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lam Hai Giang emphasized the importance of Resolution No. 71 of the Politburo on education development and requested the Provincial Association of Teachers to continue promoting the work of encouraging learning and talents, building a learning society; participating in consulting and criticizing educational policies, especially implementing Resolution No. 71.

Along with that, continue to care for the material and spiritual life of members, promote the spirit of solidarity and friendship.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial Association of Former Teachers, term I, 2025-2030, consisting of 21 members. Mr. Cao Van Binh was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Association of Former Teachers.
