On the afternoon of October 21, under the chairmanship of comrade Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, there was a working session with Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television to grasp the situation of activities, results of propaganda work after the merger and orientation of tasks in the coming time.

Operate stably, promoting the role of the province's key press agency

After the merger from July 1, 2025, Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television is a multi-form press agency under the Provincial Party Committee, performing information and propaganda functions on print newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio, television and digital platforms, well performing the role of the mouthpiece of the Party Committee, government and people of the province.

The unit currently has 9 specialized departments, nearly 200 officers and employees, maintaining operations at two facilities (Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang ) and two broadcasting stations in the mountainous areas of Nui Cam and Cong Troi Quan Ba, ensuring coverage throughout the province. Mass organizations such as the Trade Union, Youth Union, and Journalists Association have been consolidated and operate effectively, contributing to strengthening internal solidarity after the merger.

Since July, Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television have produced thousands of news, articles and programs that comprehensively reflect the province's political tasks. Propaganda work has been widely deployed, in the right direction, ensuring principles and goals.

In print, the regular publications Tuyen Quang, Tuyen Quang Weekend and Highland Photo News are maintained regularly with hundreds of in-depth topics, such as Innovation in propaganda work in the new situation, Acceleration in construction of Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway, Miracle of eliminating temporary houses, etc., attracting readers and creating positive public opinion in society.

Tuyen Quang online newspaper has a renewed interface, integrated multimedia, and has an average of nearly 300,000 visits per month; during the Provincial Party Congress alone, it attracted over 90,000 views per day. Many new specialized news bulletins have been opened such as Streamlining the organizational apparatus, Towards the 1st Provincial Party Congress, Digital transformation, etc. The online newspaper is also a pioneer in applying artificial intelligence (AI) in searching for topics, writing scripts, and using virtual MCs and virtual studios to serve news bulletins.

Regarding television and radio, hundreds of programs, reports, talks, and columns have been produced; including more than 460 news bulletins, 130 television columns, 673 ethnic language radio programs, and many live TV and livestream programs professionally performed on digital platforms. In particular, during the flood season at the end of September, the unit updated continuously 24/24 hours, organized 3 livestream warning sessions, attracting more than 200,000 views, and was highly appreciated by people for its timeliness and humanity.

On social media platforms, the agency currently manages 3 Youtube channels, 8 fanpages and 1 TikTok channel, with a total of millions of interactions per month. Tuyen Quang TTV page and Tuyen Quang Online Newspaper have both been given a blue tick, and are in the Top 10 local Party newspapers nationwide with outstanding activities on social media.

In addition to propaganda work, the unit also organizes many charity activities, such as the program "Human Bridge", "Kite Against the Wind", "Mid-Autumn Festival of Love", supporting the construction and repair of houses and giving gifts to hundreds of students and poor households in the highlands, with a total value of more than 1 billion VND.

Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television determined to continue improving the quality of propaganda, ensuring the correct political orientation, promptly reflecting major and important issues of the province; actively fighting and refuting false information, protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

The unit focuses on promoting the implementation of the Politburo's breakthrough resolutions, especially Resolution 57 on digital transformation, Resolution 71 on education and training, Resolution 70 on energy security, and the results of operating the two-level local government model after the merger. At the same time, it continues to innovate the form of expression in print, radio, television and digital platforms; expand media cooperation with central press agencies; promote the application of new technology in news production, towards a modern multimedia convergence newsroom model.

To consolidate the material facilities, complete the apparatus and improve the communication capacity of the province's main press agency in the new period, Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television proposed to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and competent authorities a number of contents: Provide specific instructions on Party cell activities for units with Party members working at many establishments; Allow the increase of printed newspaper publication period to 5 issues/week, increase the issue of Highland Photo News to 4 issues/month; Continue to invest in projects on equipment for production, distribution and storage of digital content to promote digital transformation; Upgrade two broadcasting stations of Nui Cam and Cong Troi Quan Ba, arrange permanent security forces; Arrange funding to invest in soundproofing and lighting systems for the large studio at the headquarters; Allow the recruitment of Mong language announcers to meet the task of propagating in ethnic minority areas.

He emphasized: The provincial press must be a pioneer in renewing thinking, renewing working methods, spreading the spirit of solidarity, aspirations for development and people's trust in the Party. Each news, article and program must not only provide accurate and timely information to convey the Party and State's policies and guidelines, but also inspire, arouse social responsibility and pride in the homeland.

To achieve that, he suggested that Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television need to closely follow the Party and State's guidelines and policies, and plans for developing press agencies in the new situation; quickly complete the apparatus in accordance with current regulations, suitable to actual conditions; build a strong Party organization capable of leading and directing the successful implementation of all tasks.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested that the Newspaper, Radio and Television need to create products with correct and timely values, suitable for many audiences; must create platforms suitable for many audiences; demonstrate the courage to fight, refute negative aspects, criticize distorted viewpoints; truthfully reflect social issues of concern; produce documentary films to promote the image of the land and people of Tuyen Quang in a professional manner. Accordingly, it requires each cadre and reporter to always change their thinking and form of expression, not following the beaten path; following public tastes but still closely following the Party's guiding viewpoints. Each journalistic work needs to bring benefits and create good values ​​for society. Today's achievements are not the highest.

Provincial newspapers, radio and television must build a strong team of cadres and reporters, promote the role of the leader in building a united bloc within the agency. Actively foster ideology, improve political capacity for cadres and reporters; strengthen coordination with leaders of provincial and local agencies and units; review and improve facilities according to the trend of modernization with a roadmap, supplement with focus and key points; develop a plan to manage budget, equipment, and administrative team to ensure efficiency, avoid waste, and ensure the lives of cadres, reporters, technicians, and workers.

The Provincial Party Secretary agreed with the recommendations and proposals of the Newspaper and Tuyen Quang Radio and Television. He suggested that the Newspaper quickly stabilize the Party cell activities; rearrange the specialized departments; proactively carry out the recruitment of cadres according to regulations. Actively coordinate with the Department of Finance to re-evaluate the plan to handle the broadcasting station at Nui Cam in a specific manner and report to the Provincial Party Standing Committee. The investment in equipment needs to be built with long-term investment calculations. Regarding the recommendations of the Newspaper, relevant agencies must try to coordinate to resolve them completely in 2025.

He hoped that Tuyen Quang Newspaper, Radio and Television would increasingly improve its quality, actively participate in Central Press Awards; continue to promote its core role in ideological work, and be worthy of being the voice of the Party Committee, government and people in the province.
