Hung Yen promotes investment in China, expands cooperation in the automobile sector

On the morning of October 21, the provincial investment promotion delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung, member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, Head of the delegation, coordinated with the Foreign Investment Department - Ministry of Finance, Geleximco Group to organize an investment promotion conference, calling for investors in the field of manufacturing auto parts and components in Wuhu city (Anhui province, China).

Attending the conference on the Chinese side were representatives of the Wuhu City Foreign Affairs Department; representatives of the Chery Group and more than 100 enterprises of Anhui province.

At the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, Head of the working delegation, gave a welcome speech and introduced the potential and advantages of Hung Yen province and Thai Binh Economic Zone; invited enterprises from Anhui province in particular and Chinese enterprises in general to invest in Hung Yen province. He affirmed that Hung Yen province always accompanies, supports, and creates favorable conditions for investors throughout the process of surveying, researching investment, implementing projects and production and business activities in Hung Yen. Also at the conference, representatives of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board and leaders of Hung Phu Commune People's Committee answered questions of investors' concerns when investing in Thai Binh Economic Zone.

Representatives of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, leaders of Hung Phu commune and infrastructure investors of Hung Phu Industrial Park answered questions of interest to Chinese investors.

Within the framework of the working program, the delegation worked with Mr. Truong Quy Binh, Vice President of Chery Group, President of Chery International at the headquarters of Chery Group in Vu Ho city; visited the automobile factory, automobile showroom, AI intelligent robot area of Chery Group. At the working session, the leaders of Chery Group expressed their desire to research and invest in some areas that are Chery's strengths such as: shipbuilding, robots, artificial intelligence (AI) in Hung Yen province.

The provincial delegation visited the AI intelligent robot zone of Chery Group.

In the province, Chery Group, in a joint venture with Geleximco Group, is currently implementing the GEL - O&J automobile manufacturing and assembly project in Hung Phu Industrial Park with a total investment of 319 million USD, expected to go into production in phase 1 in the second quarter of 2026, with a phase 1 capacity of 60,000 cars/year.
