Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper Nguyen Thai Binh said that the Program took place in the context that Bac Lieu and many other coastal provinces and cities, together with the Government, are strongly promoting solutions to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU fishing) in preparation for working with the 4th European Commission (EC) Inspection Delegation. This is considered a decisive working session for removing the yellow card for our country's seafood.

The program's goal is to join hands in removing the IUU yellow card for the seafood industry; build sustainable development for Vietnamese fisheries and seafood, and motivate fishermen to continue to stick to the sea and preserve the sovereignty of the Fatherland.

Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh said that within that action, through the Program "Lighting up the sea with fishermen", it will contribute practically to the implementation of the Prime Minister 's Action Plan on removing the yellow card.

Because as Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said, the story of removing the yellow card "is a matter of national pride and honor." This is not only the task of a single ministry, branch, locality or unit, but the action of all of us, including the role of the press in general and the Ho Chi Minh City Law Newspaper in particular.
