Tuoi Tre Newspaper won first prize in the Ho Chi Minh City education journalism award.

On November 19, the second 'Writing about Ho Chi Minh City Education ' journalism award ceremony took place with 56 individuals winning prizes. Of which, Tuoi Tre newspaper won first and third prizes.

This year’s education journalism competition attracted more than 90 entries with various topics and genres. Of these, 25 entries (by 56 authors) won prizes, including: 15 consolation prizes, 6 third prizes, 3 second prizes and 1 first prize.

Tuoi Tre newspaper reporters won first prize

Notably, the series "Tran ai tim nuoc maa tuc truong autistic children" by the group of reporters Doan Nhan, Duong Lieu, Ngoc Phuong and Trong Nhan won first prize.

In addition, the series of articles "Parents fight, children are at risk of dropping out of school" by reporter My Dung also won third prize.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu - editor-in-chief of Ho Chi Minh City Education Magazine - assessed that the entries were quite even in quality.

"Many excellent works have created good social effects, made an impression on public opinion, brought genuine emotions and positive thoughts to readers about teachers and the creative activities of the city's education sector.

At the same time, it has a critical and directional character for the construction and development of the education career of Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general. Typical examples are the articles Tran ai tim noi giao chuc autistic children by the group of authors of Tuoi Tre newspaper, the series of articles Truong hoc sinh by the group of authors of Ho Chi Minh City People's Radio Station, the work Journey of Innovation: From building educational infrastructure to recruiting quality teachers by Ho Chi Minh City Television Station...", Mr. Tu said.

Reporter Ngoc Phuong shared: "From the reality that many parents with autistic children have to struggle to find schools for their children, we have found a way to infiltrate and take on roles to bring multi-dimensional information to readers. And we are very honored and happy that the group won first prize in this year's competition.

On the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, we would like to send our sincere wishes to all teachers and educators for good health and happiness in their profession. We wish that our team of education reporters will have more good and quality topics to contribute to the education sector of Ho Chi Minh City."

Appreciate the enthusiasm and responsibility of education reporters

Journalist Nguyen Tan Phong - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association - highly appreciated the enthusiastic, responsible and effective participation of journalists in the education sector.

"Many works are carefully and seriously performed, reflecting truthfully and comprehensively, conveying many profound and meaningful messages about education and training in the current period.

The second Education Journalism Award honored and recognized the contributions of journalists on the education media front in Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country. Through the articles participating in the award, it can be seen that journalists have devoted their enthusiasm and efforts to bring to the public high-quality works that are practical for the current period of innovation," said Mr. Phong.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu said that the award council highly appreciated the humanity, creativity, and critical thinking clearly shown in each work. These things contribute to building the city's education system to develop more and more strongly on the path of integration.

"This competition was held on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, and among the entries were works about the silent but noble examples of teachers who devoted their hearts and souls to their beloved students. Those works were to be beautiful bouquets of flowers to send to teachers on this important day," Mr. Tu confided.
