Arrest of subjects in human trafficking crime ring

On June 1, information from the Nam Dinh Provincial Border Guard Command said that the unit had just arrested a subject in a criminal ring trafficking people from Nam Dinh (Vietnam) to Myanmar for forced labor.

Recently, the Border Guard of Nam Dinh province has presided over and coordinated with the Department of Drug and Crime Prevention and Control (Border Guard Command), the Provincial Police, and the People's Procuracy of Nam Dinh province to carry out a special project, investigate, and fight against subjects in a criminal ring that trafficked people from Nam Dinh (Vietnam) to Myanmar for forced labor.

After a period of active and urgent investigation, applying many professional measures, investigating and verifying the criminal acts of the subject, the Border Guard of Nam Dinh province arrested and detained in an emergency case Nguyen Thi Hang, born in 1980, residing in Ha Hai commune, Ha Trung district ( Thanh Hoa ) for the act of "human trafficking", as prescribed in Article 150 of the Penal Code.

Through the investigation, Nguyen Thi Hang confessed that she colluded with a number of individuals in Thanh Hoa and Nam Dinh provinces to use the trick of "easy work, high salary" to recruit, transport, and transfer 7 people (including 2 people in Nam Dinh province, 4 people in Thanh Hoa province, and 1 person in Hoa Binh province) from Vietnam to Thailand, then illegally exited to Myanmar to force them to work, to gain illegal profits.

The Border Guard of Nam Dinh province has decided to prosecute the criminal case of "Human trafficking", stipulated in Clause 3, Article 150 of the Penal Code; hand over evidence, records, and subjects to the Nam Dinh Provincial Police for further investigation according to their authority.
