Arrest of director of subsidiary of Bao Viet Insurance

On October 28, Cao Bang Provincial Police announced that they had just prosecuted, temporarily detained, and searched the residence and workplace of Hoang Thi Minh Hien (born in 1973, residing in Group 6, Hop Giang Ward, Cao Bang City), Director of Bao Viet Cao Bang Company.

Police said that Bao Viet Cao Bang Company, a subsidiary of Bao Viet Insurance Corporation, took advantage of regulations to declare insurance contracts, exploited by Bao Viet Company staff, as insurance of Bao Viet Cao Bang Company and then sold them.

Then, Bao Viet Cao Bang Company made procedures to pay commissions, support money, and signed fake receipts for agents.

Initially, the police determined that the above violations of Bao Viet Cao Bang Company caused damage to Bao Viet Insurance Corporation of more than 1.8 billion VND.
