Tam Dao unexpectedly leads the search for new tourist destinations

Online travel service Agoda has just shared the list of Vietnam's New Horizons, including emerging destinations that have not been visited by many tourists. Based on the results of comparing search data in the same period in 2022 and 2023, the list synthesizes emerging destinations that are attracting increasing attention from both domestic and foreign tourists. Leading the list is the resort in Tam Dao in the northern mountainous region.

Search traffic for Tam Dao increased by 279% compared to the same period last year. Located only 80 km from Hanoi , visitors can easily travel to the resort by car, bus, motorbike, or even mountain bike. With the surrounding mountainous landscape and many hotels and homestays, this beautiful resort has become a popular destination for many people from Hanoi.

Next is Bac Ninh , the spiritual city in the North, which recorded a 234% increase in searches. Located just 40 km from Hanoi, Bac Ninh is famous for its traditional festivals that take place all year round, often held in the grounds or around the temples and pagodas in the area.

The third point is also located in the North, the coastal city of Sam Son, famous for its blue sea and golden sand, recorded a search growth rate of 228%.

Sam Son beach city is also being chosen by many tourists.

Some new destinations that have recently attracted the attention of many tourists include Phu Quy - a small island off the coast of Binh Thuan. Phu Quy is becoming an attractive destination to show off on Instagram thanks to its beautiful beaches, pristine natural scenery and cozy homestays. With the great help of Instagram followers, the number of searches for information about Phu Quy Island has increased by 180% compared to last year.

The coastal city of Quy Nhon saw a 178% increase in Agoda user searches compared to last year, and Cat Ba Island saw a 127% increase in searches. Additionally, Agoda users also showed a lot of affection for Tuy Hoa and the mountainous area of ​​Yen Bai, with searches for these two locations almost doubling, 103% and 88% respectively.

Vu Ngoc Lam, Country Director of Agoda in Vietnam, shared: Vietnam has many interesting things to explore. In addition to the famous and most favorite destinations in Vietnam that are frequently visited by many tourists, we also noticed that some less visited places also had a significant increase in searches.
