US Election 2024: Ms. K.Harris widens the gap with Mr. D.Trump

With just six weeks before the US presidential election, the latest poll shows that Ms. Harris's approval rating has reached a record high, while Trump's approval rating remains low.

A poll recently released by Reuters/Ipsos shows that Vice President Kamala Harris - the Democratic presidential candidate - is leading the Republican candidate - former President Donald Trump by 47%-40%.

Polling data shows that Ms. Harris appears to be reducing former President Trump's advantage in terms of the economy and jobs. Specifically, in the results of the 3-day poll ending on September 23, Ms. Harris leads by 6 percentage points with support from 46.61% of registered voters, while Mr. Trump is supported by 40.48%. Thus, the Democratic candidate's lead is slightly better than the 5-point advantage over his opponent Trump in the Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted from September 11 to 12.

Meanwhile, according to Morning Consult’s weekly poll released on September 24, Ms. Harris leads by 5 points, 50% to 45%, down from a six-point lead (her largest lead in Morning Consult polls) a week earlier. Her approval rating among likely voters reached a record high (53% to 45%), or 52% to 48%, in the latest CBS News/YouGov poll.

According to a Bloomberg/Morning Consult survey, Ms. Harris leads Mr. Trump by 2 points overall in seven battleground states that are likely to decide the election: Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada, Arizona, North Carolina and Georgia.
