Connecting jobs for workers in remote areas

Job fairs in remote areas and ethnic minority areas are proving effective, becoming a direct bridge between workers and businesses. Not only opening up job opportunities, this activity also motivates many households in rural areas and ethnic minorities to escape poverty.

After the administrative unit arrangement (July 1, 2025), Pong Drang commune has more than 30,000 people, of which nearly 18,500 are of working age. Identifying job creation for workers as one of the key tasks to develop the local economy , recently the commune government has directed to increase posting of recruitment information on social networking platforms, coordinate the organization of job transactions, job fairs, connect and accompany businesses to recruit workers... Thanks to that, each year the commune has supported 350 - 550 workers to have new jobs, linked vocational training for about 250 people, more than 5,500 rural workers to participate in short-term vocational training classes. At the same time, policy credit capital is disbursed promptly. Since the beginning of 2025, 542 workers of the commune have borrowed nearly 30 billion VND to expand production, create jobs, contributing to reducing the commune's poverty rate to 2.59%.

At the provincial level, the Dak Lak Employment Service Center continues to affirm its role as a "bridge" connecting labor supply and demand. In the first 9 months of 2025, the Center provided consultation to 46,288 people, introduced jobs to 8,815 people, and successfully connected jobs to 2,457 workers. In particular, the application of digital technology on platforms such as Facebook, Zalo, TikTok, and QR codes has helped expand access to information and strengthen links with domestic and foreign enterprises.

With the efforts of localities and functional units, in the first 9 months of 2025, the whole province created jobs for about 42,000 people, reaching 75.26% of the yearly plan, including 1,700 workers working abroad. Labor export has become an important channel to help many workers quickly have a stable income. According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Thuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, to achieve the socio-economic development goals, it is necessary to clearly identify the key position and role of labor and employment, especially labor export. Party committees and authorities at all levels need to strengthen direction and care for vulnerable labor groups and ethnic minorities, and at the same time have mechanisms to attract businesses to invest to create new jobs.

From job fairs, job exchanges, to short-term vocational training courses held in villages, it is clear to see the support of the government, unions and enterprises with workers. Tens of thousands of new jobs are created each year, not only contributing to poverty reduction, but also affirming the correctness and effectiveness of concretizing the Party and State's policies and guidelines on labor and employment. This is an important foundation for Dak Lak to realize the goal of social security and sustainable development in the new period.
