Closing Ceremony of the 2023 "Student Singing Contest" in the Northern region

This is an activity organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ocean Education Joint Stock Company (Ocean Edu) is the accompanying unit.

Held for 3 days (from December 1-3), the 15th National "Student Singing Contest" - S.MUSIC 2023 in the Northern region is a competition of 21 groups from higher education institutions in the Northern region, with 53 performances and more than 500 contestants.

With careful investment and a sense of responsibility for the contest, 21 teams brought outstanding performances expressing love for the homeland and country, reflecting the process of national liberation struggle; praising the Party and Uncle Ho;

Bringing traditional cultural values ​​of the nation from the creative, youthful and dynamic perspective of youth.

In particular, many performances carry the aspirations and burning determination of the young generation in affirming the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands and building the country.

Many performances are carefully staged, showing unique colors and associated with the school's brand.

This is a welcome signal showing the attention and adequate investment of universities in students' cultural and artistic movements.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 15th National Student Singing Competition - S.MUSIC 2023 in the Southern region, Acting Director of the Department of Political Education and Student Affairs Tran Van Dat assessed: The competition took place in an exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere; was organized carefully and scientifically, ensuring the requirements and goals set out.

Schools have cared, created conditions and encouraged contestants to have successful performances.

Each competition truly becomes a unique and meaningful art program dedicated to the audience and students of universities in the capital.

“The Organizing Committee also highly appreciates the members of the Jury for completing their tasks of judging with objectivity, accuracy and fairness; that has played an important role in the success of the Contest,” Mr. Tran Van Dat emphasized.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 4 Encouragement Prizes to the participating Delegations. In which, the First Prize for the whole delegation belonged to the University of Education - Thai Nguyen University; 2 Second Prizes were awarded to the Banking Academy and the People's Security Academy;

The three schools that won third prize include: East Asia University of Technology, Thuy Loi University; Phenikaa University.

The Organizing Committee also decided to award 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 14 consolation prizes for the entries.

Of which, 6 excellent performances were selected for the Final Round from the following delegations: Banking Academy, Thai Nguyen University of Education, East Asia University of Technology, Phenikaa University, Academy of Journalism and Propaganda, People's Security Academy.

The 15th National Student Singing Competition (S.MUSIC 2023) in the Southern and Northern regions was successfully organized, truly becoming a festival for students and higher education institutions, creating opportunities for students to exchange, enhance mutual understanding, and improve their knowledge of the people and beauty of the country.

The contest has made an important contribution to educating revolutionary traditions, training ethics, ideology, collective consciousness; promoting national cultural identity and orienting musical tastes, discovering artistic talents, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education for students.

After 2 rounds in the South and North regions, the Organizing Committee selected 12 best performances to win First and Second prizes to participate in the final round held at Phenikaa University, Hanoi on December 9-10, 2023.

The "Student Singing Contest" was first held in 1991.

Up to now, after 14 times of organization, the Competition has been affirmed as an art playground creating opportunities for students to exchange experiences, discover artistic talents, improve the quality of comprehensive education for students, and at the same time educate revolutionary traditions, train ethics, ideology, collective consciousness, and promote national cultural identity.

Through the Contest, many singers have matured and become famous artists, making many contributions to the country's culture and arts.

The theme of the 2023 Competition is "Building school culture" expressed through performances praising love for homeland, country, school, teachers and friends; expressing dreams, aspirations, feelings and responsibilities of students towards themselves, family and community.
