Closing ceremony of combat drills for 6 wards and communes in the 2023 defense zone

On June 16 at Ninh Thanh Secondary School ( Ninh Binh city), the Steering Committee for combat drills in wards and communes in the defense zone in 2023 organized a tour to operate the live-fire drill mechanism and closed the combat drills in 6 wards and communes in the defense zone in 2023.

The Steering Committee for the 2023 Ward and Commune Combat Exercise in the Defense Zone set up a hypothetical situation where the Tan Thanh Ward People's Committee headquarters was attacked, vandalized, occupied, and taken hostage by a group of strangers. The ward's militia platoon then promptly mobilized to fight, organized a hostage rescue, captured and eliminated the group of people who caused the incident, and restored security and order in the area.

The content of the hypothetical situation is close to actual combat, suitable for national defense and security tasks in the new situation. The participants in the exercise are key officials of the Party committee, government and armed forces according to the organization and staffing of each unit.

During the exercise, the participating units correctly and fully implemented the content and procedures, ensuring absolute safety for people, weapons, and property of the people.

The exercise aims to improve the level and capacity of leadership and direction of Party committees; the management and administration of the government in a state of national defense emergency, transitioning localities from peacetime to wartime; preparing and practicing combat to protect localities, while fostering and improving the level of staff capacity of military agencies, police and departments, branches and organizations; the level of combat readiness, and command and coordination between forces.

Through additional exercises, the system of operational documents in the defense area is improved, raising awareness of national defense and security for local officials and people.

Immediately after the exercise, the Steering Committee for combat exercises of wards and communes in the 2023 defense area held a closing ceremony and awarded collectives and individuals with many achievements in the combat exercise.
