Inside the 'world's best' resort in Lang Co

Banyan Tree Lang Co is the only resort in Vietnam honored by Tripadvisor in the top 25 best luxury hotels and resorts in the world in 2024.

On April 24, Tripadvisor announced the Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Hotels 2024 awards to suggest prestigious accommodations around the world to book for upcoming trips .

In the category "Top 25 best luxury hotels and resorts in the world", Banyan Tree Lang Co (photo) is the only representative of Vietnam named in 12th place. This resort, along with TMS Hotel Da Nang Beach, Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort, Nha Trang Marriott Resort & Spa, also appeared in the Top 25 best hotels in Asia.

The rankings are based on votes and feedback from millions of travelers with real-life experiences left on the site. These are “real-life” votes, not rankings suggested by AI or a single travel expert, according to Tripadvisor.

Hotels that make it to the Best of the Best must receive a large number of reviews and outstanding opinions from the Tripadvisor community over a 12-month period. Of the 8 million applicants, less than 1% make it to the top.

The criteria for voting in this category include excellent service, comfortable rooms, stylish interiors, delicious and diverse cuisine , and accessible destinations. In addition, the establishments must also meet factors such as green and fresh spaces, sustainable development, friendly staff, and a high rate of guests wanting to return or recommend to friends.

Banyan Tree Lang Co features 86 private beachfront villas, all with private pools, nestled between the Truong Son mountain range and overlooking the East Sea.

Room rates for mountain villas range from 15-25 million VND, depending on the number of bedrooms: 1, 2 or 3.

The room interior is designed in Vietnamese countryside style with dark tones combined with contemporary architecture such as floor-to-ceiling glass walls to maximize natural light and sea views.
