The new Eastern Bus Station is crowded with people returning home for the Lunar New Year.

Mr. Nguyen Lam Hai - Deputy Director of the new Eastern Bus Station said that today (December 25) there were more than 12,000 passengers passing through the station. Passengers mainly went to provinces such as Phu Yen , Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong. Today is also the peak day of the Giap Thin Tet service period. From tomorrow, the number of passengers returning home will gradually decrease.

Passengers stood and sat in rows waiting to get on the bus to go home for Tet and reunite with their loved ones.

People braved the sun, inching their way to the gateways of Ho Chi Minh City to return home for Tet . On the 25th of December, bus stations, Tan Son Nhat Airport and all the gateways of Ho Chi Minh City were packed with people returning home to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.
