Being asked to pay debt, a group of teenagers used explosives to attack a grocery store.

On November 12, information from Quang Tri Provincial Police said that the Department of Investigation of Social Order Crimes of this Provincial Police had just coordinated with Huong Hoa District Police to clarify a group of teenagers who used explosives to damage a grocery store in Huong Hoa District.

Previously, on August 21, at the grocery store of Mr. Nguyen Phi T. (in Tan Thanh commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province), thieves used explosives to damage the store and destroy property inside, causing nearly 50 million VND in damage.

The Department of Investigation of Social Order Crimes of Quang Tri Province Police in coordination with Huong Hoa District Police identified the people involved in the incident as: Ho Vang (14 years old); Ho Van Hau (18 years old); Ho Le (14 years old, both living in Tan Thanh Commune). In which, the police identified Ho Vang as the mastermind.

According to the investigation, in early 2024, Mr. Nguyen Phi T. came to rent land to open a grocery store in Tan Thanh commune. During the process of selling the store here, Ho Vang often came to buy on credit and when collecting debt, Vang and Mr. Nguyen Phi T. had a conflict.

Out of anger, Ho Vang hired Ho Van Hau and Ho Le to set off explosives at Nguyen Phi T's grocery store with the intention of taking revenge and making T. afraid to open a business in the locality.

Then, on the morning of August 21, Vang met Hau and Le at a restaurant and gave them money so they could go buy explosives. After buying one explosive and a detonator, the group of teenagers met and had a drinking party to discuss the matter.

At about 3:30 a.m. on August 22, Hau inserted a detonator into the explosives. Le pulled the rolling door of NPT's grocery store so Hau could throw the explosives into the store. When he was done, Hau detonated the explosives, causing the rolling door of the store to open, destroying the goods and property inside.

Currently, the Police Department has decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Ho Van Hau because this young man is 18 years old. As for Vang and Le, because they are only 14 years old, they cannot be criminally prosecuted.
