Nha Trang City Party Secretary appointed Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee

TPO – Mr. Ho Van Mung – Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee has just been elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2021 – 2026.

On the morning of September 12, the 21st session (special session) of the People's Council of An Giang province, term X, term 2021 - 2026, carried out personnel work.

Accordingly, Mr. Le Van Nung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang province approved the proposal to nominate Mr. Ho Van Mung - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.

Delegates voted by secret ballot to elect the Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province.

As a result, with more than 98% of the votes in agreement, Mr. Ho Van Mung - Deputy Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee was elected as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term.

On the same morning, the Central Organizing Committee implemented the Politburo 's decision on transferring Mr. Ho Van Mung - alternate member of the Central Committee, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Nha Trang City Party Committee, to cease participating in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and cease holding the position of Secretary of the Nha Trang City Party Committee (term 2020 - 2025); transferring, assigning, and appointing to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee (term 2020 - 2025).

Mr. Ho Van Mung, born in 1977, from Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province; has a high level of political theory; professional qualifications: Master of Economic Management, Bachelor of Science in Foreign Languages.

Before 2013, Mr. Ho Van Mung was a member of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union. From August 2013 to September 2015, he was a member of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Van Ninh District Party Committee.

September 2015 - October 2015, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Van Ninh District Party Committee. November 2015 - August 2021, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee.
