Request for opinions on adjusting the time of organizing the 6th Cham Ethnic Cultural Festival

On September 30, the Provincial People's Committee announced the conclusion of Comrade Nguyen Long Bien - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the meeting with leaders of agencies, units and localities in the province on September 29 on preparations for the organization of the 6th Cham Ethnic Cultural Festival in Khanh Hoa province in 2025.

Accordingly, comrade Nguyen Long Bien assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to proactively work with the Department of Culture of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups to report and ask for opinions from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on considering and agreeing to adjust the time of organizing the 6th Cham Ethnic Cultural Festival to December 2025 to avoid the rainy and stormy season in the locality, meeting the conditions for implementing the preparation work; urgently work directly with relevant agencies, units and localities on the work and tasks to check and review each content carefully; complete the draft plan to organize the 6th Cham Ethnic Cultural Festival, ensuring the requirements of clear people, clear work, clear time, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear products; advise on documents of the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee to report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on the contents related to the 6th Cham Ethnic Cultural Festival... The above work contents must be completed before October 6. In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism needs to inspect, review and select units to organize events within the framework of the 6th Cham Ethnic Cultural Festival, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and meeting requirements on quality, efficiency, publicity and transparency.

It is known that on September 10, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a plan to organize the 6th Cham Cultural Festival in Khanh Hoa province in 2025. Accordingly, the festival is expected to take place from October 17 to 19 at the April 16 Square (Phan Rang ward and Dong Hai ward), with nearly 600 artisans, actors, and mass athletes of the Cham ethnic group in 6 provinces and cities: Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City participating. The festival will have many cultural, sports and tourism activities to contribute to honoring, introducing and promoting the unique cultural values of the Cham people.
