Quang Ninh Provincial Party Secretary inspects Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory project

On November 19, Comrade Vu Dai Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee inspected the progress of the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory project invested by Thanh Cong Group . Accompanying him were members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and leaders of relevant departments and branches.

Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory, invested by Thanh Cong Group, is built on an area of ​​36.5 hectares; capacity of 120,000 vehicles/year, with modern equipment lines, high level of automation, in accordance with international standards.

Comrade Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, inspected the progress of the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory project.

After 2 years of construction, auxiliary areas such as test track, office building, LPG station, fuel station... have all been completed, ready for the factory to officially start testing from the end of 2024 and commercial operation from the beginning of 2025. In the near future, this will be the factory to manufacture and assemble the first Skoda cars, making Quang Ninh one of the next major automobile manufacturing centers of the country.

The Provincial Party Secretary listened to the investor introduce the factory's assembly line.

In the initial phase of operation, the factory will assemble SUV and B-class Sedan segments suitable for the current tastes and consumption trends of Vietnamese people. In the next phase, the factory will expand to environmentally friendly electric vehicles. The products of Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile factory will not only be the supply source for TC Group's current core automobile manufacturing and trading activities, but also aim for export; contributing to promoting the Vietnamese automobile support industry to reach regional and world markets.

The Provincial Party Secretary gave a directive speech at the inspection session.

Directly inspecting the progress, listening to reports and proposals from the investor, Comrade Vu Dai Thang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, praised the spirit and responsibility of the investor in making efforts to concentrate resources and human resources, ensuring the factory's progress according to plan.

The factory has modern equipment lines, high level of automation, in accordance with international standards.

Emphasizing that the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile and Supporting Industry Complex is a key project, a driving force for the province's development in the coming years, when completed, the project will contribute to increasing revenue for the local budget and creating jobs. Therefore, he requested the investor to maintain the committed progress, continue to accelerate the completion of the remaining investment items in December 2024, and strive to put it into commercial operation in early 2025. He also directed the Provincial People's Committee, sectors and localities to continue to provide the highest support for this key project.

The factory will officially go into trial operation from the end of 2024 and commercial operation from the beginning of 2025.

Regarding some specific proposals of the investor, the Provincial Party Secretary affirmed that the province will accompany the investor to report to the central ministries and branches on the application of preferential mechanisms and policies for the project. Regarding issues related to the allocation of land for leveling, investment in worker housing projects, and completion of connecting traffic infrastructure, the province will direct relevant departments, branches, and Ha Long city to provide maximum support to complete in the soonest time, ensuring consistency when the project officially comes into operation.
