Initial information on the work accident at Duong Huy Coal Company

On September 28, information from Duong Huy Coal Company said that at the company's mine, a gas incident occurred in the tunnel, trapping 3 workers.

Specifically, at around 10:35 a.m. on September 28, at the Duong Huy Coal Company Mine (Quang Hanh Ward, Quang Ninh Province), a gas incident occurred in the mine, trapping three workers from the 3rd Tunnel Digging Workshop of the Mine Construction Company - the unit that was working on the tunnel for Duong Huy Coal Company.

Immediately after receiving the information, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Vu Dai Thang and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Khang directed and assigned Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Cong and the provincial working delegation to urgently go to the scene, together with the leaders of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group to direct and focus on implementing incident response work.

Currently, rescue and incident response work is still underway.
