BlackPink is the most powerful on YouTube

TPO - Forbes Korea has released a list of top YouTube artists in 2024, based on the revenue they earn.

Despite only ranking 10th, IU is impressive as the only artist on the list. The beauty's YouTube channel Moon Lover has more than 9.77 million subscribers, bringing her an estimated annual revenue of 22 billion won (16.7 million USD).

Ranked 9th is Hybe's Korean-Japanese girl group, Le Sserafim. Their YouTube channel has garnered attention for its catchy music videos and other content. With 5.52 million subscribers, the channel has earned an estimated 22.7 billion won ($17.2 million).

Ranked 8th is another girl group, IVE. Compared to the two artists above, their YouTube channel has significantly fewer subscribers, only 3.82 million, but they earn a huge difference of 24.9 billion (18.9 million USD).

Enhypen took the 7th spot on the list with an estimated revenue of 30.1 billion won ($22.9 million). The Hybe boy band has attracted 10.6 million subscribers.

Aespa is the only SM Entertainment group to make the list, ranking 6th. They earn 38.3 billion won/year ($29.1 million) with 6.39 million channel subscribers.

Seventeen is the top 3rd generation K-pop group today. They have 13.6 million YouTube subscribers and earn an estimated 62.4 billion won ($47.4 million) a year. The group is ranked 5th on the list.

Despite being born late, NewJeans showed its great influence when entering the top 4. The Gen Z girl group earned 68.3 billion won (51.9 million USD)/year from its YouTube channel of 7.75 million subscribers.

Despite being on hiatus due to military service, BTS still proved their global star status by ranking 3rd. With 79 million YouTube subscribers, the group earned about 82.3 billion won (about 62.5 million USD) in the past year.

(G)I-DLE's YouTube channel is considered to have good, popular content. Thanks to that, they have 8.78 million subscribers and earn 86 billion won (65.3 million USD).

Forbes Korea named BlackPink the most powerful K-pop group on YouTube. The group not only has the most subscribers on the list (94.9 million), but also earns the most money, 129 billion won (about $98.3 million).
