The Ministry of Public Security organized the "For National Security" Health Congress and the Public Security Command, Military and Martial Arts Competition

According to Major General Pham Kim Dinh - Director of the Department of Political Work (X03), these two major activities were deployed throughout the People's Public Security force, aiming to evaluate the physical training movement, inspect the command work, military training, martial arts and enhance the fighting spirit of officers and soldiers in the new situation.

Regional qualifying rounds have been held since 2024, creating an exciting competitive atmosphere throughout the industry, aiming to celebrate major holidays of the country and the Public Security force.

The Health Congress and Competition will be held from August 2024 to August 2025 in many localities including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Lam Dong and Phu Tho. The opening ceremony will take place at 8:10 p.m. on July 26 at My Dinh National Stadium (Hanoi), and the closing ceremony is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on August 1 at the Ministry of Public Security's Great Hall, 47 Pham Van Dong (Hanoi).

Participants of the Health Congress include officers, non-commissioned officers, students of the People's Public Security schools (except for civilian systems), police workers, contract workers receiving salaries from the State budget and individual members of the Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association. The competition is for officers, non-commissioned officers, conscripts and students of the People's Public Security schools.

This year's Health Congress organized 115 competitions in 10 sports, including: 8 running application events, 22 swimming application events, 10 healthy police officer events, 4 professional firefighting and rescue sports events, 7-a-side men's football, men's volleyball, 15 badminton events, 18 table tennis events, 12 tennis events and 24 chess events.

The contest includes 18 events in 3 subjects: 4 events of the People's Public Security regulations (including theory and practice), 4 events of martial arts and 10 events of military affairs.

Regarding professional work, the Ministry of Public Security has closely coordinated with the Vietnam Sports Department, national and local sports federations and associations to mobilize highly qualified referees to manage competitions.

At the same time, preparations for facilities, equipment and competition tools were also fully implemented, ensuring conditions for successful organization of the competitions.

Along with that, the Ministry of Public Security directed units and localities to develop plans to ensure security and order; deploy professional measures to ensure absolute safety for all activities of the Sports Congress and Competition.

According to Major General Pham Kim Dinh, these two large-scale sports and professional activities are an opportunity to widely propagate and educate about the 80-year tradition of building, fighting and growing of the People's Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025). Thereby, it arouses pride, responsibility and emulation spirit among officers and soldiers of the entire force.

At the same time, this is an opportunity to encourage officers and soldiers in the entire industry to actively study and practice to improve their political qualities, physical strength and sense of responsibility; to build a clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern People's Public Security force.

The congress is also the basis for evaluating the sports movement in the People's Public Security Forces in the 2020-2025 period; verifying the results of training in regulations, military, martial arts and raising the sense of discipline and combat readiness of each officer and soldier.
