In the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Party Committee and Border Guard Command have strengthened leadership and direction, strictly maintained combat readiness, managed and firmly protected territorial sovereignty and national border security; coordinated to sign a joint border protection plan with the Border Guard of Lai Chau and Ha Giang provinces in 2024; closely coordinated with the police and military forces to advise local Party committees and authorities at all levels to promptly handle incidents, not allowing hot spots and complications to be created. Directed border posts to unilaterally patrol and protect the closed border section 1,071 times/10,716 participants; took turns presiding with the Chinese border force in bilateral patrols and joint law enforcement on the border 8 times/797 officers and soldiers of each side participated.

In addition, Lao Cai Border Guard also established and coordinated to successfully fight 2 special projects; directed border guards to arrest and handle many drug cases, ensuring absolute safety in all aspects; prosecuted 7 criminal cases; investigated according to authority, handled 31 administrative violations. In the last 6 months of the year, the Provincial Party Committee and Border Guard Command continued to strictly implement directives and resolutions of all levels on military, defense and border tasks; strengthen border patrols and controls; maintain security, order and social safety in the province's border areas; synchronously deploy border work measures, proactively provide means and equipment to serve the work of preventing and fighting natural disasters, fires, rescue, contributing to the achievement of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.
