After the fire at Khuong Ha mini apartment building, the Ministry of Education and Training issued an urgent dispatch.

At the same time, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) requires the implementation of fire prevention and fighting solutions at universities and academies.

Specifically, on September 14, the Ministry of Education and Training issued an official dispatch on reviewing and grasping information about the mini apartment fire in Hanoi and implementing fire prevention and fighting solutions for students. The official dispatch was sent to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training; universities, academies, colleges, and pedagogical colleges in Hanoi.

In the dispatch, the Ministry of Education and Training mentioned that on September 12, in Khuong Dinh ward, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi, a serious fire broke out in a mini apartment building, causing great loss of life, health and property of people, including students.

In response to the above incident, the Ministry of Education and Training requested the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, universities, academies, colleges and pedagogical colleges to carry out a number of tasks.

Specifically, the units coordinate with local authorities, police agencies, hospitals, and relevant organizations to review and check information on the situation of students related to the fire; Organize visits, encourage, and provide timely support to students who are victims of the fire (if any).

The Ministry requires thorough understanding and full and strict implementation of legal regulations on fire prevention and fighting, especially Circular No. 06 dated May 11, 2023 of the Minister of Education and Training on guidelines for equipping knowledge and skills on fire prevention, fighting and rescue for students in educational institutions.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training; universities, academies... must focus on providing students with skills in fire prevention, fire fighting, escape skills, first aid for victims in case of fire, explosion and other incidents and accidents, and skills in using fire fighting, rescue and life-saving equipment available at home, school and public areas.

The Ministry of Education and Training also requested a report on the situation of students involved in the fire before September 20.
