(HNMO) - On June 13, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son inspected and supervised the preparations for the 2023 high school graduation exam in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the report of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the total number of candidates registered to take the high school graduation exam in 2023 is 85,453 candidates. Of which, the high school system is 72,866 candidates, the regular education system is 9,194 candidates, the independent system is 3,373 candidates. The whole city has 9,985 candidates exempted from the foreign language exam.
According to the registered exam groups, the number of students taking the exam in the following subjects: physics (47,039 students), chemistry (47,336 students), biology (46,953 students), history (36,754 students), geography (36,573) and civic education (29,083). Ho Chi Minh City arranged 156 high school graduation exam sites with 12,280 exam supervisors; of which, 71 exam sites have independent candidates and 85 sites do not have independent candidates.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son assessed that Ho Chi Minh City had established the exam steering committee very early and was proactive in handling the tasks.
“With a large number of candidates and exam sites, the city has reviewed all work, especially the coordination between relevant departments, agencies and sectors to prepare for the exam in the best way, not being subjective, trying not to let any unusual problems arise. Exam supervisors and leaders of exam sites should avoid being subjective, especially paying attention to the work of preventing and combating cheating in exams using high technology,” said Minister Nguyen Kim Son.
On the same morning, the delegation inspected two exam locations in Ho Chi Minh City.
