Minister of Agriculture and Environment visited and presented 20 gifts to people in the resettlement area of ​​the Upper Krong Pach Reservoir Project.

On the morning of April 19, on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of the Upper Krong Pach Reservoir Project in Dak Lak province, Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy visited and presented gifts to people in the resettlement area of ​​this project.

Attending the working delegation were comrade Nguyen Thien Van - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of Departments, branches, and Ea Kar District People's Committee.

Minister Do Duc Duy expressed his excitement when witnessing the cultivated fields that have been formed after only three years, helping people gradually stabilize their lives.

Visiting Resettlement Area No. 1 (Yang San Village Resettlement Area, Cu San Commune, Ea Kar District), the Minister expressed his thanks to the households for their agreement and support to the Party and State in the work of site clearance, land concession, relocation of houses, assets, and structures on the land to implement the project. In order for the project to complete phase 1 on this occasion, in addition to the political determination of the entire political system, there was a great contribution from about 800 households in the project area.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment presented gifts to request local authorities to continue to pay attention and support people to stabilize production.

The Minister expressed his excitement when witnessing the cultivated fields that had been formed after only three years. The atmosphere of production and labor was bustling, the land area was used effectively, and crops grew well. “This is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of the resettlement policy associated with sustainable livelihoods. The highlight of the Krong Pach Thuong resettlement model is that it not only solves housing problems but also creates conditions for people to develop the economy,” the Minister commented.

According to the Minister, if continued to receive proper support, the local community can form concentrated commodity production areas, gradually increase income, and help people gradually stabilize their lives and improve day by day.

In the coming time, Minister Do Duc Duy requested local authorities to continue to pay attention to supporting people to stabilize production, ensuring the lives of resettled households of the project, with the spirit: "The lives of people in the new place must be at least equal to or better than the old place". Strive to have no more poor households in resettlement areas.

Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy presented 20 gifts of encouragement and support to help people settle down and make a living.

According to the representative of Dak Lak province, resettlement area No. 1 has a total investment of nearly 200 billion VND, arranged for 240 households with more than 1,200 people. Currently, this area has been filled, people's lives are gradually stabilizing. Resettlement area No. 2 has a total investment of nearly 300 billion VND, for 464 households.

Ea Kar District People's Committee said that, implementing the Party and State's policies, about 200 households whose land was recovered to implement the Upper Krong Pach Reservoir Project voluntarily handed over the site to the investor to relocate to Resettlement Area No. 1 in Cu Elang Commune, Ea Kar District.

Minister Do Duc Duy hopes that the government will accompany and support people in taking care of their lives in new places so that they have at least the same or better living conditions than their old places. Strive to have no more poor households in resettlement areas.

Here, people always receive attention from the Party Committee, local government and political and social organizations. Each household is allocated 1.1 hectares of land, including 1 sao of residential land, garden land, 5 sao of rice land and 5 sao of crop land. In addition, to serve the people's lives, technical infrastructure works such as traffic systems, drainage, electricity grid, schools, cultural houses, are built to meet the needs of travel, living and studying of people and students. Currently, most of the people relocated to the resettlement area have gradually stabilized their lives and production activities, developing the economy.

On this occasion, Minister Do Duc Duy presented 20 gifts to households in the resettlement area.
