On the morning of November 10, on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's traditional day, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang attended the National Great Unity Day with the people at the Vietnam - China Friendship Cultural House in Ban Phiet commune, Bao Thang district, Lao Cai province.
The Vietnam - China Friendship Cultural House where the event took place is an important project, inaugurated in April 2024 on the occasion of the 8th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange.

Speaking at the festival, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized the significance of the Great Unity Festival in connecting communities, building national unity, making an important contribution to local development and protecting security and order at the border.
Minister Luong Tam Quang congratulated and highly appreciated the efforts and contributions of the people of Ban Phiet commune in building cultural life and developing the community. At the same time, the Minister commended the proud achievements of the locality in 2024 when Ban Phiet maintained security and stability, with no criminal offenses, social evils, traffic accidents and explosions; recognized Ban Phiet commune as a bright spot in building a peaceful , friendly and cooperative border for development.
The festival took place at the Vietnam - China Friendship Cultural House.
In the context of Lao Cai suffering heavy damage from storm No. 3, the Minister highly appreciated the spirit of solidarity and resilience of the people in overcoming difficulties.
Minister Luong Tam Quang also called on local leaders to focus on preparations for Party Congresses at all levels, strengthen the movement of "All people protecting national security"; at the same time, promote comprehensive development in the economic, cultural and social fields of the province.

The Minister requested that Lao Cai province should proactively and actively take measures to care for and improve the lives of the people, especially ethnic minorities in remote, isolated and border areas; detect and mobilize philanthropists to promptly support people in especially difficult circumstances, the disadvantaged, those who suffered damage and were affected by natural disasters caused by the recent storm No. 3, leaving no one behind; effectively solving pressing social issues right at the grassroots level.
The Minister also requested Lao Cai province to continue to consolidate and build a peaceful and friendly border, enhance people-to-people diplomacy, and make important contributions to implementing the foreign policy of the Party and State.
On this occasion, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang presented gifts to the Ban Phiet Commune Education Promotion Association and 20 typical households participating in the movements "All people unite to build a cultural life" and "All people protect national security" in the area.
