The document stated that the success of Vietnamese Football in recent times is the recognition of the attention of the Party, State, Government leaders and Vietnamese fans for Football. To continue and achieve the important goals of the national men's Football team in international football tournaments such as: Asian Championship, World Cup Qualifiers, Southeast Asian Championship.
Geovane Magno Candido Silveira is one of two players that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has asked the Ministry of Justice to support naturalization.
After monitoring and evaluating the professional skills of recent Vietnamese Professional Football seasons, the Professional Board of the Vietnam Football Federation and Football experts have found that a number of foreign players competing in tournaments always have a spirit of dedication, devotion to the club and a desire to live and work in Vietnam long term.
Based on the proposal of the Vietnam Football Federation and the proposal of Mr. Kim Sang Sik (Head Coach of the national team), in order to utilize and promote sports talents to contribute to the development of Vietnamese Sports in general and Vietnamese Football in particular, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism respectfully requests the Ministry of Justice to support the procedures for naturalization of Vietnamese nationality for 02 players: Geovane Magno Candido Silveira and Janclesio Almeida Santos.
Player Geovane Magno Candido Silveira started his playing career in Vietnam in 2019 as a Midfielder at Saigon Football Club, Hanoi, The Cong Viettel, Hanoi Police and is now playing at Ninh Binh Club, scoring 21 goals, contributing to the Football clubs achieving high rankings in the Vietnam Professional Football League.
Meanwhile, Janclesio Almeida Santos started his playing career in Vietnam in 2019 as a Central Defender at The Cong Viettel Football Club, SHB Da Nang, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, Becamex Binh Duong and is now playing at Ninh Binh Club, with his expertise contributing to the Football clubs achieving high rankings in the Vietnam Professional Football League.
